I use my system for a bit of everything. I want something that will sound great on music, mainly. I do however want something i can crank for movies though. I can really tell how much I'm missing on movies and some TV series. The explosions and stuff are really lacking.
But the b6's are very music. Very punchy. It almost doesn't need a sub, but for those low bass guitar tones, they don't quite cut it on their own. They come damn close though.

I've said this before, I think, if anyone happens to know anybody with some cheap 5 1/4 or 4 in. speakers on the cheap lemme know please?
Will probably just run them off my headunit so they don't need to be components or anything.
I'll someday get around to doing a nice audio build..

I'd look around for a nice 12" sub. Or build a t-line with a low fs sub. T-lines make really good home theater subs and take low amounts of power to work well.

That's what i was thinking. I loved how my old Tline sounded in my car, as poorly built as it was.

I really wanna attempt to fit a pair of 12's in one in the back of my Xterra.
Everytime I try to put something on paper (sketchup) it ends up being stupidly tall, and I don't want anything more than ~6 inches above the window line

If I fit a 2.98ft^3 internal (not including woofer or port) box in my convertible trunk, you can fit a Tline in an Xterra.

Don't be a *****, you don't need rear seats.
Alternatively, use the box AS seats.

Hey everyone. I'm looking for some new door speakers. I want them to sound really good. I'm really new to car audio and I don't know much about it. Any help would be great.
Thanks.

Edit: Scrap that. I need some good 6.5" mids in an active 2-way setup with those RS28-As. I've got 125wrms to throw at them at 4ohm. Halp? I'm looking to get some more SQ than my ID comps. I'd rather not just buy a more expensive set of components because I'm going to be going active and I don't wanna spend money to get crossovers with the comps. I'm pretty dead set on those tweeters unless I go 3-way, which would definitely complicate things a lot, so I'm thinking I don't really wanna do that.
Has anyone in here heard a set of these CTX65CSs so they can actually compare to other stuff that's out there? I hate that there's nowhere I can go to just listen to different stuff from different manufacturers. People are bashing those Crescendos for anything but loud, obnoxious, throw-sound-500-feet setups.
Basically, best mids that I can cross with a tweeter that gets fairly low (supposedly people cross them at like 1300hz, but I'm not going to bring them that low, I don't think. Ideally around 2k, I guess?). ~$200 max for a pair.

I have the pwx6s and they are screamers they sound fantastic for dubstep for some reason but for heavy rock and rap they are a little muddy when you really crank the volume. I have mine at 100 rms a peice and on a DD four channel
