Could try the VS Forum: http://www.pbnation.com/forumdisplay.php?f=828
Most in here would go with the Luxe or GT. My personal choice would be a Luxe 2.0 with that budget. Buy used though and save yourself some money.

Go for luxe 2.0 If you don't like it you will get your cash back. Luxe keeps its value.
Gt is very smooth just didn't like the balance and screen on the side. Plus once you air up the gt you just lost a grip load of cash. That's only of you want to sale/trade the marker

maintenance on the luxe is super easy, one of the many things about it that makes it a great gun.

I have both, well mines the luxe 1.5
both guns shoot great and are worth the cash!
both guns hit what you aim at!
both are good on air
luxe talks to you which can get annoying after the 100th conversation
I personally like the GT since to me it shoots smoother with less kick. Not knocking the luxe since I still use mine but I perfer the GT over it slightly.
one plus for the luxe is that you have less orings to worry about. The clone GT has about 20 LOL. The luxe has about 7-8? Cant remember since I havent had mine apart since early summer.
save money and get a luxe 1.5 or 2.0 or a plain clone GT
no reason to spend 300-400 more for a brand new special edition

i prefer the gt. only complaint over the gt was the sharp edges on tripper frame. luxe is nice but my sprung gt is a lil smoother then my sprung luxe. maint on gt is stupid easy and when they say in the tech viedo only make the o rings look wet they mean it. if you over lube it you may have issues. board doesnt talk but dnt have to take off grips to adjust anything. i do like the luxe freak kit as most people have inserts for cheap and more bore sizes for the freak.

I shoot a luxe 2.0 but tend to say for most people geo3 would be the best option.
- stupidly easy to tech
- lightest of them all
- fantastic board
- also very little kick with sfr turned to minimum
- good efficiency
The lightness and the super easy bolt system get the win in my opinion.

I have a 2.0 and Geo3. The shot is much softer and quieter on the 2.0. Efficiency and comfort are a little better on the Geo3. I play more with my 2.0 but still have no problem rippin on the Geo3 at any given time.

i think ive made my decision to buying a vicious geo 3, of www.store-dss.com, its all gold, mainly because i dont have an extra 200$ for a luxe or else i would have gotten the pooty custom luxe, or a disco splash one

Seaneady it is probably due to the different amount of paint that went through both guns...
