GEO 2 I owned shot like an AXE very nice but lacking slightly to my v1

example on air: I have on my back a GA 110ci 4500 tank and the field's compressor was hurting and only filling to 2,000. The last game of the day at the far end of the property I had about 1200 PSI. I went thru about 3-4 pods and started thinking oh crap I am going to run out of air and reduced my last 5 mins of the game to 1 pod. After the game I asked my son to see how low I was on air and he said between 700-800 psi.

We use Karnage field paint which is decent but not great and I generally can go 5 cases sometimes as much as 10 cases before breaking a ball. Usually this happens if temps change a lot or at the end of the day when hopper batteries gets low or I get some **** paint.

Cleaning / lubing takes 2 mins or less , doesn't eat o-rings , cleaning eyes and detents takes 5 mins with no body to disassemble.

I have owned a GEO 2 , G6R , AXE , MINI , NT , lots of ICD guns(in past) and the V1 shoots the best. IMO

I appreciate your input! I'm currently in the process of trying to obtain a Victory.

Anyone have any experience with Vics and reball? Local guys are saying they work okay just wondering if anyone else could give input on that?
(It's winter now and reball is my only option until April at this point)

Can't imagine you'd have a problem shooting reball with one. Hopper? that's a different story.

yah i know hoppers dont seem to love reballs, best I've used for them is a rotor with seed, but im hearing great things about the spire and reballs.

Yah I've heard of a few good reball loaders, I'm gonna hold off till after the holidays though since I have a sneaking suspicion the wife is giving me a spire.

Can anyone explain to me what exactly "sweet spotting" is? and what I'll have to do to achieve this? I've seen the term a few times while reading threads in this forum and I'll be honest I'm in the dark on this.

from the factory, bob long guns come pre set at a certain pressure (i forget what this is for the victory) and the guns perform very well at that pressure.

sweet spotting (from what i understand) is where you find the lowest possible lpr and hpr pressures to shoot 285fps. Usually the factory pressures do a very good job at this.

the problem with having two regulators is sometimes people screw things up. the victory can run 65psi lpr just fine in factory form. What happens when you put the hpr to 280psi (stock is less than 200psi i think) Too high of an hpr pressure will require the lpr pressure to be increased in order to hit the valve open hard enough (because the hpr pressure aides in holding the poppet valve closed) More pressure is required to open a valve that has more pressure holding it shut. The result, a kicky loud inefficient gun.

basically you might shoot 285 fps at 70lpr, 190hpr but you might also shoot 285fps at 90lpr, 250hpr. The goal is to get both the lowest you possibly can. To make this easy, bob long has pressure testing tools that tell you both of your pressures, you just set them to the factory recommended pressure and call it a day.

the blue is hpr air, and the green is lpr air. you can see how it is a balancing act.

Thanks a lot, that was quite helpful. So basically as long as I keep the pressures at what the manual says I should be fine?

yes! they are super easy to.maintane and just keep the lpr where it needs to be. put the hpr where they suggest and then check your fps with a crono. adjust fps with the hpr. stock pressures should be pretty close as long as you have a good bore match

I keep my V1s at 75-80 runs great just bought a used V1 and guy had it at 100psi and was blowing air down the barrel. Set the LPR to 80 and it chroned at 270-280 and shot like a champ.

I use a SS freak with a .684 bore sometimes .682 in winter

Any Canadian Vic users able to tell me where they get their dow55 and triflow? Tried Home Depot and they didn't have it, couldn't find it at Canadian tire either? If I can't find it ill just order online but I'd like to get some before my Vic arrives

dont be too worried. the only oring you have to re grease somewhat often is the ram oring. everything else can wait a while. i use violent pb jelly on my ram because it is slicker and seals just fine. blast recomdends dow55 and requires it for warrenty.

My V2 came in the mail today and I was playing around with board settings and I'm not sure if I'm misreading the manual but it seems like its saying the lowest ROF cap is like 14bps? But I need to go as low as 10 as thats all the local reball field allows, am I just not reading this right?

Finally got my hands on some 55, question about tri-flow though, since its just for the bolt am I fine to use any oil? or does tri-flow do something special?
Also should I use 55 on the reg when it comes time to clean that? or just use a 33 on the reg?
