eflex issues really?!?!?!
well, this looks like the sort of thing that someone who is new to the sport would do, someone who isnt familiar with how these are put together. I have been using proflex masks for 8 years, no issues. i have owned a few sets of eflexes and yes they are harder to take apart, but still, never any issues.
has anyone run into this before? i was trying to take the bottoms off to clean the bottom of the frames and *rrriiiipppppp* both spots start to tear as well as the pin fell completely off of the other side of the mask.
well....... i have epoxy'd them back together, doubt they will hold but has anyone run into this before? ive never seen anything like this before. these masks are designed to come apart without issue just as the proflex was.
can anyone explain this? id like to think that if i spend 110 dollars on a mask it shouldnt fall apart when i try to do what it was designed to do.

Ya I would think that Kee should stand behind their product and at least offer you some sort of solution. They shouldn't be easily damage like that when taking them apart is part of normal cleaning

I haven't had this happen yet but I feel like it certainly could.. I also know that the holes that hold the bottom on on my frame are getting blown out from changing the bottoms a few times. Certain bottoms won't stay on my frames anymore, they start to come apart if they get hit once.
Really poor quality control on some of these eflex's.. I've got a teammate who used his mask 3 times, let it air dry and his foam is literally falling off on the bottom. And I don't mean falling off like the glue is failling.. I mean like chunks of foam have fallen off.
Most of us have also lost the soft-ear hardware.
Empire has however remedied the soft ear hardware by sending us all new hardware (I then super glued mine together so it doesn't fall apart again, as the new pieces were just as loose as the originals). Still waiting to hear back on the foam issue.

This same issue has happened to someone at my field, you're not alone.

yalp. i hope they go back and make the pins and holes the same size as the proflex. it would make that mask a lot better in my eyes.

Perhaps I should try to repair my i4 rather than get an e-flex. I'm in doubt now.

same thing happened to me when i put proshield bottoms on the eflex frame, the frame holes for the frames are slightly stiffer then the normal flex frames, and a whole piece of the bottom with the nub broke off.

It is a good thing the mask isn't used for safety or you could have been seriously injured.

Every product will encounter issues in some way, the number of issues i read here in comparison to other masks I read about and the number of eflexes out there, I saw the mask is still number one in my book.
Not every single one can be perfect.

I wouldn't let any issues you read on here influence you to not buy an eflex. I still love mine, but I've definitely seen/had my fair share of problems with them. Naturally I kind of expected it though as I had mine on preorder at my local field before they were even out.. First run products usually experience some issues.

Completely new platform combining tech from 2 popular older ones. Problems I guess but pins tearing apart and chunks of foam falling off? HUH
