why wouldn't dp fix the g4 problems at the facotry

Like if they know they are having the problem, switch the grease they use? How long has this issue been around?

That issue was resolved 2 months after the G4 was released.
For those that still have bolt stick issues. check and make sure your o-rings arent swollen to large to where it holds the bolt too tight, also make sure that the bolt is lubed well

Getting a company to admit the fault is the product and not the customer is not something you will find.

Most companies will blame the customer for years until they are forced to admit that it was the product - and even then it is unlikly.

No matter how much people complain and send back markers a company will always try another way to fix the problem with out admitting its theirs. But DP is one if the beat to deal with and they make sure the customer always is happy. Also any person who buys a brand new marker should always break it down and lube it for themselves. I have for every one I have ever own and never had a problem.

When my G4 works, it shoots awesome.

But when every it sits around for a few hours, the bolt always gets stuck. So frustrating!

Changed all the orings and kept it lubed before each time I use it and it still has bolt stick.

Spoolies have been around for such a long time and other companies like DYE, PE makes spoolies. How come no one has make a spoolie that stop sticking permanently? The first shot dwell is a band-aid fix I see it around this.

My Etek 3 gets great efficiency and always works.

I much preferr the G4 because it is smooth. And the other beef, is that there no way making a spoolie more efficient???

I went playing this morning. The G4 was lubed up last night and test fired. Well....bolt stick, would not fire. Good thing I brought along the Etek.

If I need to buy an aftermarket bolt to make this gun work, I'm better getting rid of it.

DP should include a revised bolt like a techt in their G5!

I think you have too much lube on it, are you wiping out the inside if the marker when you clean it?

This is not my first spoolie. I use to own DMs that also had the odd bolt stck but not this frequent.

I aways wipe off all the old lube. And use just enough to lube the orings.

my friend has a g4 and it shoots great the only problem is the trigger adjustment on the gun itself there is none so if your willing to get it then do some research and get ready for some tech problems every other time you use it.

No trigger adjustment on a G4.... are you sure it's a G4? Last I checked, there was a 4 way trigger adjustment happening at that party.

Also, I own 2 G4's, never had bolt stick. I use Monkey Poo (personal preference). I lube 30 minutes before play. No Bolt stick.

Nice, Necro posting.. lol.

Right after release is when ALOT of people had issues. Now its just every once and a while that we will find someone with those same issues.

the G5 is shipping with DP40 v2 lube or something like that.. I want to try that out first hand before i say its good or not.

The one problem the g4 ever had was the factory grease issue. Nothing else was effecting every single g4.

There are probably some of those problematic lubes still unsold and have been sitting on some proshop shelf for that long. That's why you're seeing those issues come up again once in awhile.
