Has anyone dyed an empire prophecy white shell?

Has anyone had any success dying a white empire z2 shell? I am about to try one and have been reading online about how to do it with RIT fabric dye but want to check if anyone knows a better way first?

I think the reason he is asking is to see if the shell holds the dye or not. The spire has a similar thread with pictures so seems reasonable to ask for that here. On a side note don't the Z2's have a glossy finish to their shells. This finish could be a protectant and thus make it harder to pick up the RIT dye. The spire doesn't have that finish. Just sayin
