Yeah, just don't keep it in the hip pocket... broke my first phone that way. I usually have crap for reception on the mountain top though...

Any of you have kids and bought them a setup young? I am looking to get my little guy (2 1/2 yo) started this year, but just feel like whatever I buy will be done in a season. The Burton after school special is awesome looking, but will it do the trick?

I would think that for a kid, especially @ under 3 yrs old, it isn't going to matter what gear you get them. Plus, like you said, they will outgrow it season by season. It's more for them to get a feel for it and be comfortable on the board/ski's and environment, so they can grow to like it and eventually have an independent passion for it, as you do.

Don't even bother. Just get your kid some skis and have the kid learn that first. A 3 year loads not going to have the ability to ride a board on their own.

Just rent until he is fully grown. It's more important to have them on the mountain as much as possible than have his own gears.

ffffffuuuuuu. I still have yet to hit up Whistler, and I'll be lucky to hit Baker up once this year. I'll unfortunately have to be riding at Stevens Pass as it's much closer to me, and I have use of my parents cabin, which is 20 mins from the resort.

Wish I could go out. It's been too warm here so I can't go to the mountain close to me. Only other place is Snowshoe and it's $80/day lift ticket and that's still a 3hr drive one way. Plus they haven't got much snow so mostly all they have is man made and icy as ****.

Mammoth next weekend, possibly Tahoe the weekend after that, some weeknights at mountain high when it reopens, and Colorado for a week after Christmas. Things are looking good
