I think it is supposed to be released these days in the US , we 've had it for a couple of days in Europe , I am somewhere halfway through the story mode and I must say this game is really amazing . My favourite games so far were Far Cry instincts evolution , Crysis 2 , and now new comer Far Cry 3.
Anyone else tried it? What do you guys think of it ?
i really enjoy it. i like the various types of wildlife in the game. PETA is going to have a field day with this one.

It can't be compared to FC2 which was a major failure. In FC3 , you don't have to drive to go on a mission, but you may if you wish to.
First , the "wildlife" aspect of the game was bothering me because I am an action player and I don't really like collecting flowers and killing pigs; but I gradually understood the point, because one can now enjoy every second of the game, it is action all time, nothing linear of course.
The climaxes I personaly like are fighting those big bastards who have bullet proof jackets and welding helmets
There are plenty of them ; you want to check the map and try to rejoin their territory ( some are in cages, some are in caves )
The good thing when they are in a cage is that you can shoot the door open and they will "assist" you during an assault, causing massive confusion and damage on the camp
alright spent last 6 hrs or so playing. really havnt done much but save up money. got 6 radio towers thus far, only did first 3 missions, havnt done any side missions yet. have almost everything upgraded, im just in need of boar hides and I cant seem to friggin find any
I have finished the story mode , and blue flagged all the camps yesterday. That helps to find wild animals thanks to the Hunter's game pinned on the mission board.
Besides, I recommend the red star challenges, some great gun games there
The flamethrower is badass, I love just running through camps setting everything ablaze, then picking off the survivors with the MS16. Gun is a BEAST.

Just get on a jet ski and use the manatee method of using them as speed bumps. 2 hits killed most sharks I came across.
