Yeah can't go wrong with critical trigger or vp. Both are amazing, although I prefer the critical due to the magnetic return vs spring. But I usually only use the micro switch anyway.

Also as far as I know about acid custom triggers, they come from Australia and take like 3 weeks before getting them. (Don't quote me on the but I think it's true)

The VP comes with magnets as well. You just need to glue one of the magnets into the frame where the factory trigger tension spring goes.

I'm just a secondhand owner and the chances of me buying a new MD product with their current trackrecord are slim to none. If a petty grievance is all there is to the matter it doesn't hold an inkling of relevance to me. That might sound overly harsh, but the only company I ever liked died 10 years ago

That being said I'm still going to delve further into which trigger to choose.

They do. I'm not located in the US so the timeframe isn't in issue as I have to wait whichever product I choose. Thanks for giving me the heads up still, thought that counts

Here's a pic of the cousins:

I've only used critical in the past, and there was a huge improvement in how sturdy the trigger felt in comparison to the stock trigger it replaced. How is the side to side movement in comparison between critical and violent?

Just curious what you mean by that? I am a new Clone owner and it is the best marker I've ever shot (been playing for 22+ yrs). Everyone I have seen seems to love their products.

Nothing more than curiosity....

To me it makes more sense to lag behind the curve by a year or two regardless of marker, than to pay full price for something that might need a couple of revisions after release to function properly. For some reason MD sticks out [to me] as having had a few rocky releases.

Waiting also drops the resale to a fraction of retail so that's a bonus.

PE has had some rocky releases. Like the Geo and Ego9. All new guns are going to have problems. The VX had no problems that I know think of. The V2 parts were released to fix the problem that SOME V1 parts were having. I had V1 parts and V2 parts. The V2 parts were never used because my V1 parts never had a problem. If there is a problem it doesnt mean that all the guns will have that, just some. If the customer service is good, like Macdev's is, then they will fix the problem no problem. That being said, I have owned 3 clones over a few years and it always seems that I get drawn back. I currently have a Luxe which shoots great, just miss the clone feel. Just my 2 cents.

Ok, like I said I was just curious. I have played for a long time but never really followed MacDev until now. I like my GT but don't have any experience with any of their other products. But I can see your point of view.
