buying a marker is a lot like buying a car. When you just ask what to buy nobody is going to be able to help you. It would help if we knew a price range, if you want new or can settle for used and what type of paintball you will be playing. Help us help you

and welcome to pbnation!

Rent a Tippmann for your first 3 times, then look to buy if you go again after.

If you want to avoid air tanks, get a sling shot. It's quiet too.

Well what guns are you considering? I would recommend buying used though you would save some money but make sure that it is from someone with high feedback

This is a very broad question. Do your research, read reviews, and see what you like.

For electric markers, my fav starter gun is the Proto Rail. Mechanical, a 98c or an a5 are great choices. If you want a nice looking military style gun, the Alpha Black ( essentially a 98c) is another excellent choice.
