I've been playing for about a year now. I feel like I'm not getting any better just playing Rec ball. Are there any teams in the dfw area that I can go practice with to improve my skills?

Post in your regional forum and see if any teams are there. You can also ask around at your local field.

Look for your region and find threads. But to correct you,you can very much get better playing rec. work on your technique. and there has to be a local team at your field

There are also alot of drills/tasks you can do at home in the mirror. Go on youtube and search "Dynasty Dysected" and both of Dynasty's "training" vids will come up(it may take a little bit of serching) may also be labeled as "how to play Paintball"
