I just received what I believe to be a WGP slider frame. When I installed it on my Nightkast, the trigger continues to get stuck. Any ideas what could be causing this?



I've checked both set screws also.

thats a weird looking frame. looks like a milled shock tech. cant tell because of the flash but does it have a acuating rod slot?

try raising the lug a little bit

make sure the trigger adjustment screw isnt too far in

make sure all the trigger plate and sear springs are straight

Thanks. Yeah its got the slot. I'll try raising the lug, I'll take it apart soon so I can check the rest of the internals and make sure there isn't a pen spring behind the trigger

Been trying to find a slider frame disassemble guide but haven't had any luck, any ideas where one is posted?

I can't identify that frame either, but a lot of the 'cocker frames I've seen have anti-binding setscrews that go upwards from the space behind the trigger guard. The idea is that these screws keep the trigger from rocking when you pull it, but if they're adjusted too far in they'll cause the trigger plate to bind. Check and see if your frame has this feature and it it does try backing out the screw a little bit.

I know this is probably weird and totally wrong... but might it be an automag frame?

It has two different set screws underneath that I backed out to make sure they weren't binding it. Trying to take this thing apart but the sear pin does not want to budge, is there a special technique to getting it out?

Got it. Pretty easy to see the problem now.


I'd be weary about ordering this frame from paintballgateway.com if anyone was going to, it basically seems like they just put a pen spring in there to sell it all together, for $70. Would the only solution be to buy a Maddman trigger spring?

If it were me, I'd just use another pen spring, or at most go to the hardware store and find a small spring that fits.

Pen springs are fine. You could even use that one if it's long enough after clipping the bent coil.

Just cut it shorter and its working now, one of the lightest triggers I've felt on a marker. I think the initial problem might have been the spring being too long. Thanks for all the help guys.
