There used to be pods kind of like that: http://www.warpig.com/paintball/tech...ds/index.shtml
As for the OP, seems like a technique issue, being unnecessarily violent during runs and dives. As you say, others do it all the time without breaking balls so you unfortunately must be doing something wrong.

Except better paint is more likely to break in a hopper.

Most would argue All-Stars are lower grade than Evil/UE.
I think there's a pretty good chance this guy is bouncing his hopper on the ground without realizing it. I'm not sure I've ever had this problem.
Another thing to look into is how light your pump stroke is. If your handle/bolt combo is too heavy for your return spring, running and crawling can open your breech and clip or load balls.

After i run a point i have a half used hopper that i need to fill and so i leave the other half still in my 50round pod or dump the rest on the floor. Off the break ill run to my bunker and sure enough another ball break in the pod, which is understandable because im diving with a half filled pod. I see the pros dive and slide all the time with a hopper that's bigger than mine and for damn sure i know its not a fully filled hopper and it still seems like they don't have problems like this. Yes 1 suggestion is, STOP USING EVILS, but i don't want to. Which paint do you pumpers recommend? or does anyone know if having a speed feed instead of the winchester cap help absorb the impact of the dive/slide? How does the nation deal with such an issue?

I didn't even read any of the other reply's in this thread so if someone already said this...oh well...my bad. You have to get some style. If your breaking a lot of paint your just diving too hard from too high. You can still go in fast, just go in smooth. Practice sliding on multiple surfaces. Dirt is much different than grass. Even different turf will slide differently. Remember you don't always need to superman. I play with a sniper no autotrigger and generally shoot my self into my bunkers when playing rec. When playing against people that know what they are doing I'll take snake and let someone else shoot me into the bunker. I go in hot and smooth. This is how the guys using ultra evil and ultra marb(far more brittle than what your using) get in with out breaking paint in their hopper. Good luck man, everything takes practice.

An even better solution, lose the hopper and single load, one less thing to get hit. Carry a ten round tube, 1-2 balls for each person is definitely enough for a game. Problem solved.

Usually the rate at which you move toward the ground is not the issue. It is the height and egress toward the ground. You can come into a bunker extremely hot and smooth and not break anything, gun paint ect. We have all seen players take these giant dives that end in disaster.
Superman Fail - this kid is moving very slowly and dives too high, prob would break paint/gun/maybe face

How to Euro slide (I wouldn't recommend this, it doesn't give you good movement)
http://www.ehow.com/video_2365762_th...technique.html
Sliding correctly - observe the first part - notice how he meets the ground, smooth and gently - now on the second part...yea I don't know what he was thinking cause that should have broken something LOL

Hope this halped!!
