i trusted someone that had the same feedback as me...it was when mine was 55 and so was his. I bought a GA tank from him for 65 gifted and since his feedback was good i did it. Well i got scammed, and needless to say i will never gift again.

Even though though they have good feedback, look when the last time it was. The guy im talking about had did his last transaction a year ago...clearly i should have just paid fees

Honestly, a Pro player wouldn't scam someone on here, because their reputation would be destroyed, they'd probably get kicked off their team, and they'd be forgotten. When buying, the seller will provide their Paypal email address in a PM (most likely). You will then send the payment as goods. Then just make sure to let the seller know to save the tracking information so that the seller can give it to you. You don't need to look at it everyday, but just have it to make sure that he didn't scam you.

heres some good rules to follow:

NEVER EVER GIFT! fees are like 2.5 percent if you dont have 25 bucks to spare on a 1000 dollar gun then don't risk it
Save all conversations
small air leak easy fix(they didnt fix it for a reason usually)
1 of 1 does not make it worth more
air tanks - will pass hydro(not always true)
get a tracking number and record a video of the unboxing
shoots 125125 BPS... normaly no proof of this claim

I just got a ion off ebay and right before it arrived he emailed saying oh yeah had a small air leak

after replacing every o-ring and lubing...I am still tracing it down

Never gift in PayPal. Just offer to pay the fees. Gifting means exactly that you are giving someone money electronically. Trust your instinct is the deal is too good to be true probably isn't. If someone has really low feedback or negative (it happens). Ask them to ship first or use a third party. There are lots of ways not to get ripped off. IMO I don't send money orders first either. Same reason as gifting.

Shooting videos are great too. Have them include a dated receipt or newspaper with a date on it so you know when the marker was working.

Plus above^ never ever buy a quick fix air leak , etc. Almost never is.

Ex: ego with small Asa leak from eBay from the macro line. I bought replaced macro line both fittings and finally the ASA itself.

But the biggest thing for me is just how the person acts. You can tell alot about them just by searching their user name and seeing all the things they have posted. This saved me once. I was looking at a gun and the guy said it just needed to me gone through and tuned. Did a search of his name and found that he posted in the gun tech section asking what was wrong with his gun and everyone on there said it needed a solenoid. Stuff like that people dont think of.

I have seen one person on here mention it but want to reiterate that you can use a moderator on here to act as a third party to your transaction virtually ensuring that you do not get ripped off. THere is a cost for this service however when you are talking about hundreds of dollars, it iw wel worth the money. I have not used this service and have been lucky enough to only have one transaction go bad however, now that I know about the service I will use it going forward.
