How do you get your music?
Everyone has their own views and opinions on getting music, be it via pirating or buying it. I just want to know how most people choose to get their music. For me I am all for supporting Bands and solo artists. My opinion is that music should be free. Artists can make enough money by touring and doing live shows to be more than well off. So what do you think? I want your honest opinion on this.

I'm not allowed to say how I get my music, because I'd get an infraction.

1. lol, you obviously do not know how much money is raked in at concerts/music festivals.
2. It is not illegal to talk about illegal ways to obtain music, we are only discussing it. I don't see why there is any problem discussing it here.

Shared music sounds exactly the same as any other mp3 that has been purchased. There is no difference between the two besides the fact one is a copied file, nothing has changed, the file has simply been duplicated.

You're making generalizations. There's a very small percentage of touring artists that can use income from touring and be more than well off, as you said. Talk to some local artists who tour, if you can, and ask them what they do in their off season.

CDs aren't mp3 bud. We're not having this argument.

I do agree with you on that. Not every band is more than well off. Also I know that all local artists need the most support, because they are starting from nothing.
