Facts huh?
The all time highest turnout events in MN have been:
3man (Supair Bowl 3: 82 teams)
4man (Air Assault Invitational 2009: 48 teams)
We moved away from 5man after 3 years of dwindling attendance (and yes, those events were outside and 100% psp format). It wasn't feasible to continue to offer 5man when only 9 teams showed up.
Did you play any of the 12 MWPPA 5man events offered back then? Did you play the NPUCTS 5man before it disbanded? NLPL 5man? Maybe MXPL 5man? Polar Bear 5mans? There is a reason EVERY 5man focused tournament series lasts 2 seasons and then disappears.
I (Brent Allan Kotchman) do not make arbitrary decisions on what events we host. I base it on personal experience (having played dozens of regional MN/WI/ND/SD events from 2000-2007), customer feedback, and market demographics (ie available # of specific divisional players).
Eventually, the Air Assault/APPG/Splat-Ball family will host a 5man. It will be outside and it will be awesome. But we will host that event when we are sure we can offer it to our customers at the same level of competition and quality that we have brought to our 3man and 4man events over the last 5 years.
We are looking forward to this D5 4man. The competition level will be GREAT and this will be the last chance for a majority of MN ranked D5 players to compete before they turn D4.

Any ideas on what field chrono speed is going to be? I've never been to an air assault event before, just want to make sure my guns are close to ready for the event.

Layout will be up on Saturday during normal OPEN PLAY hours. Doors open @ 0600am on Sunday with the field available for walking shortly thereafter.
Only discounts for season pass holders.
