if you could only have one insert

I dont feel like buying the whole shift kit right now, who knows I may end up changing my mind. For the time being, here is the question.

If you had to pick one bore size which would you go with

.685

.681

???

I would pick .685 if I could only choose one.

I use .681 most times but if you get a batch of paint that's too large you could be in trouble.

I run a .691 all the time with no issues with Tourney paint being .682
if you are looking for something i would say .685

I second .685

BLAST is ahead of the curve and includes .685 as the stock barrel, but Macdev is not an American business so I can understand why they use bigger bores on their stock barrels.

Depends on what paint your field carries. But as other people have said cant go wrong with a 685 or even a 689.

Depends on the region as others stated. I recently played PB Charleston and using .81, paint was rolling through. Same as other fields I play in NC.

I use my .679 eigenbarrel more than anything with the dang small paint now... I'd say a .681 will be a better fit better 95% of the time, but a .685 will ensure you will work 99% of the time.

.685 all day. I use 681 at tourneys with evil but I find 685 to work with anything. Only time I actually had to use 689 was when I shot valken graffiti paint
