Barrel question and opinions

Well I'm new to Dye guns- currently have a Luxe 2.0 and just sold an Ego 11 to get a new DM12. I don't know anything about dye guns, but I read thru all the stickies here to learn about the gun and downloaded the manual as well. My question is mainly about barrels. The dm comes with a .688 from what I've read. What's the normal or best way to have an assortment of sizes with dye barrels. Should I purchase a few different size backs or should I look into different barrels all together. What are you guys doing to accommodate for different sized paints.

Get a .692 back and bore it for freak inserts. Im not sure if you can do it with a .688 or not. That is what I would recommend.

That's a great idea as I have a full set of inserts for my luxe. I have heard of several people mention guys that do the machining for this but I have never been able to get a 100% answer on if they still do it. Does anyone know for a fact someone that does the freak boring. If so please tell me. That is my best option right now I think. And I'd say the cheapest while still maintaining great quality.

The guy on pbnation called super_stanchy does it. Here is his thread on McMaster Carr. I, also, know of one other guy that does it on a message board that I can't talk about, but the SSC guy does good work.

Just looked at his page. Are the dye DM12 factory backs considered UL backs. He can accept those.

Nerve2030 on Nation did an UL for me. Super fast and Great quality. Highly recommended!
