Geo2 all day. Planet eclipse has great customer support, planet eclipse markers have the best feel in your hands, parts are not over priced (anything dye is way over priced), and from my experience it has better efficiency, and I don't know their exact weight but from feel the geo 2 is lighter

The DM9 is the last major change that really made a difference in the DM line. It is silky smooth, amazingly quiet, has a nice profile and feels great in the hands. It is an amazing spool and when tuned can go head to head with most new high-ends. You can do a "top hat" mod or get an eigenring if you want to maximize efficiency, use MacDev militia lube and run a low LP setting and you'll be set. Geos, particularly the first gen, are significantly outperformed by most other spools on the market.

BTW, I will say that in that price point I still prefer the MacDev Droid.
