Its an awesome marker, be aware that the stock board is not a tournament friendly board. I dont know if ans has the clearance sale of the ape board but you might want to chect that out. You can also invest in a techt bolt engine and techt is also having clearance sale of that bolt series.

Thanks guys, i have looked into the ape board. I seen it was 49.99 at ansgear.com. Does the tech t bolt offer that much over the stock bolt? I only got a chance to shoot a pod or so through the marker. It seemed to perform good, but seemed a bit loud for a spool marker. Then again, could of been shooting hot. No chrono on hand.
Thanks guys-

It is loud with the stock bolt. I only advise you if money is no issue, techt gives an efficient increase, way lower sound signature and smoother cycling meaning less kick.

Alright sounds good! I just searched for their bolt, found a few on ebay brand new for 59-69 i think it was. Have to shop around and see if that's a good deal or not.
Do you guys know if the micro switch on the ape boards feel like other boards with vertically mounted micro switches?

I suggest check out techtpaintball cause they have it for 49$. And if your active you get a discount as an addition.
Edit: you dont have to worry about he switxh on the board. It will fit and makes no difference during walking the trigger. At least that' s my opinion. But ill be making my own trigger for one of my threshold though as the previous owner messed it up.

Eh it made the trigger feel weird for me. I would recommend the 7th element board and trigger combo but the board may come not working and you would have I send it in to get a new one

So, i buy a new board that comes not working? Then i have to spend time and money shipping it to them to get it working? Sounds like to much of a hassle. I don't do tournaments. I play mostly some speedball and woods. For fun, when something becomes so competitive, the fun usually goes out the door.
So, i will look into a board that has a micro switch though. Can't stand optical.

I bought mine off of ans and it wouldn't activate the solenoid. While the board you get may or may not work I prefered it over the ape board because of how the ape board made the trigger feel.

I'm joining the family next week. I am buying a g3 se with hopper and freshly hydro'd tank for $230 shipped. The gun has a 7th element board and a CP Rake trigger. The hopper is a VL JR with a ganstar board. Did I do well in this purchase?

Its only as good as what you feel when you receive it. But it seems like you got a bargain for a whole set up.
