I don't mean to necro this thread but yes, the spring force is directly related to when it leaks. With the Eigenvalve a leaking valve at 55psi LPR even wouldn't be so bad since you're able to run so low on the LPR.

Decided to try the lurker eigenvalve and eigenram in my Gen4. It dropped my LPR pressure down from the 65psi range to the 45psi range (more like 47.5psi). The lower lpr psi and and lighter ram resulted in noticeably less kick. Very nice.

Great to hear. I haven't been able to install mine yet... but I miss my Timmy and can't wait to get it back on the field.

Did you have any eigenram issues pre-installation? Mine has always been finicky

Gen4 Infamous.

I installed the ram and new poppet at the same time. No issues. The Gen4 was more finicky before the change over (I had to mess with my LPR often). Currently, if I go below 45psi, I can hear a slight leak. I am sure once I get a few cases through it, I will be able to better determine the improvement.

EDIT: I went and shot it in the backyard. I think I can lower the LPR some more as the orings seemed to have swelled/sealed with the DOW 55. Not that I am complaining with 47.5psi on the LPR. I also need to rechrono. Appears to be shooting over 300fps. One of the best upgrades I have made for this marker (other than a new barrel).

This IS NOT a good thing.

Lurker's Ram and Valve are great products and do allow you to lower your pressures lower than is suggested by Humphrey's. My advice to anyone is that they run the LPR closer to 60psi minimum and then adjust for velocity via the HPR. This will ensure trouble free operation. Running lower pressures isn't necessarily a terrible thing but Humphrey's suggested minimum is 55psi, I'm not saying you will definitely damage/ruin things but proceed to run at such low pressures at your own risk.

You're not going to ruin anything, how would that even work?

The noids typically vent around 35psi, I know because i had a gen4 that would happily run at that shooting 300fps. It's just the glands losing seal due to low pressure.

The Humphrey HEA10F5-GL-101W datasheet says the operating pressure range is 29-102psi. I do not see how a low pressure could damage anything other than things not sealing correctly because the pressure is too low.

I know if it is too low it will not cycle, not cycle correctly, or not cycle fast enough.

Got my parts in today, I had my lpr at 45 and my dwell at 8. Shot great no leaks or any kick. I haven't been able to get it to a crono yet though that will be the real test

Lurker, in the manual it talks about running a modified delrin/aluminum ego bolt pin. Any reason/benefit to do that other than cosmetic reasons? Also, why loctite the rocket cap on? Thanks! I am seriously considering this for my Infamous timmy.

EDIT: I decided to go ahead and purchase it, along with a barrel, and some lubricant. I'll post my results after some testing.

You don't need to loctite the rocket cap on. Just don't overtighten it when you put it on as it can strip/break easily. Make sure you own a 3/8 deep socket so you can take it off and put it back on easily.

The only reason you may want a modified delrin pin is to make it lighter. I don't think the gains on a delrin pin would be worth it.

Yep, just mass. Actually, that was written before this valve came out. I'd probably run more or less the stock bolt and pin with eigenram without brass and call it a day.

Man, I need a ripper 3. The control freak valve is secretly one of my favorite projects.

I already have the eigenvalve on my marker but what is the difference between the eigenvalve a d the brass poppet that was on some of the later infamous markers?

That little hole in the lurker valve is actually quite important.
