I started my own thread, I assume boss is busy so ill ask here. I have a boss bolt xsv and I'm shooting it with the long spring 5 dwell and a 679 freak. I'm getting 295 293 but then after shooting a rope or two I get 260 263 265. I'm using a HP tank and its really confusing me as to why this is happening. It's 1.5 turns out.

Will do. Now that I think about it, it wasn't till I changed springs that I started running into problems. I'm not 100% but I think so...ill try. So are the settings different than what boss recommends for the each individual spring? I was told to underbore and I did. And I also recall having the stock barrel and it wasn't giving me as many problems and after going from the stock to 679 I didn't see a big difference in fps.

Out of curiosity, how old is your tank regulator / how broken in is your Axe? Ballpark amount of cases through it would suffice. Reason I ask is it's possible this is a recharge rate issue.

Underboring should give you more consistency. Try short spring, 140 psi, 3 dwell, 1 1/2 out on backcap. Those are his recommended starting settings that come with a new bolt.
I'm getting really inconsistent numbers with mine and I hope it's not cause of the reg but we will see.
I was getting like 260-265 the other night now I'm getting 310-315. I'm gonna turn down pressure a hair and hopefully can get it in 285-290 range.
If it keeps being inconsistent I may have to figure some other things out

I got a new reg at cup since the old one was creeping. I noticed a few problems starting then too. And my tank is barely a few months old

Like I said I'm under boring paint
And putting the reg at 140 (even though I think the recommended are 150) would give me really low numbers.
I'm having to go to almost 180 now. -_-

What kind of orings do you have on the bolt guide?
I had a similar issue with the lurker bolt. What is your poppet like? Make sure it is all the way in and lubed.

I more meant make sure it isn't damaged and makes a good seal.
Mainly make sure it is lubed nicely.

Good stuff.
BTW Go Pirates! See you in the Big East!
I would ask you what tournaments y'all are playing this year but that would get the thread off topic haha.

Am I the only one who wishes someone would produce a higher quality grip for the Axe? I cant stand the fact that my grips can be pushed in and don't sit flush with the frame. I really miss the feel of my UL frame grips, and the sticky grips. If Boss or someone could produce a soft, thick, legit grip for say <$25ish, I would absolutely purchase them. Nothing fancy, just simple, sticky, solid grips. I think my Axe would be much more comfortable. Anytime you can improve the ergonomics of an Axe, I think it should be done.
Also, I cannot stand the plasticy 2 piece panels that companies already produce as far as after market grip panels. Hate them. One piece ftw.

Wash your grips with a small drop of dish soap and warm water.
