Eh.
I wanted an optic that will keep its zero.
An optic that will be ready to use at all times (3 year battery life with it on) as its my go to gun for home defense against people and animals (I live in the country remember)
I wanted something I could take hog hunting so clear glass is a must, sometimes I will need to take 100 yard plus shots.
I wanted something water proof again mostly for hunting.
I feel like 300 dollars is very reasonable for an optic that meets (far exceeds) my needs.
That being said I would buy a cheaper optic for something that would potentially save my life, my family's life's, my dogs lives, and livestocks lives. But it wouldn't be a $25 truglo.

Mine is just the single dot. A friend actually bought it for me and he didnt like the dot and circle so he got the plain dot.

Holographic sights have been around since the 40's. They were used as gun sights on airplanes, and would get brighter when you put your reticle over the target.

Pretty sure we all know he meant for a weapon mounted optic.

So you're telling me the holographic sights they used on the defense guns on bombers weren't mounted on the guns themselves?

yeah just zoom in and read the cover. LOL
Bushnell marketed the non-military versions under the brand name "Holosight". Yeah, I am old enough to have bought one of the first ones marketed to the public.

I have had the same batteries in the Bushnell for 12 years now. They are N sized Duracell and they work perfectly. The N size battery is a very hard to find battery, I am glad they last a very long time.

For a pump tourney? No.
For any other yeah, probably. Unless they have a stock guns only rule.
And no muff is just a dick, never ever listen to him (ever).
