OP...

The Geo3 board is not compatible with a Geo2. There are too many differences between the solenoids and other parameters.

Additionally...the positioning of the components as well as the size of the board itself do not allow the trigger to work.

This board will not work in a Geo2 frame.

I used a Geo 3 board in my Geo 2.1 for all of world cup and it worked great. Its still in there actually. You have to change the dwell setting though.

hmmmm....ok then.

Not having a Geo2 to actually try it...I simply looked at the alignment of the sensors on the board and the size of the board to made a guess.

My response is still the same though...There are too many differences between the operating characteristics in the solenoids.

Unless Flash wants to jump in and comment...I still say they aren't compatible.

There are differences in both the hardware and the firmware between the Geo2/2.1 and the Geo3 boards, some of these changes are obvious, some less so. It is possible to put a Geo3 board into a Geo 2.1 however it will not control the Geo2.1 in the optimal way, which could lead to velocity and efficiency issues and these issues might not be immediately apparent.
