Took Rue to see Razor today. She seemed so big until we had them right next to each other. They basically would run two laps around the yard and then Rue would hide under my uncles bronco, and after a short rest another two laps around the yard. They woulda have went all day if we let them lol

Yea, not sure how big he is in the picture there but he put on around 10lbs or so after having his boys removed. He's back down to about 70lbs now which the vet said was pretty healthy for his size.

My Pit in college was 55 until she hit 8 months then sky rocketed to 70. You never know.
Gweny was 53 when we got her and she's a hefty 67 now. Short but a brick **** house with muscles . I love it!
She was out but organized her toys by herself. I found it abnormal yet cute
I met/took photos of another wonderful pit at crossfit last week. Her owner brought her to our box and she behaved wonderfully even with the weights bring thrown around. Not nearly as hefty as Gwen, but fast as all hell and adorable

I haven't posted on this thread in a long time but I don't know who to talk to about this
Today I got a new Christmas present, I named him Baiter.
He was left on my front porch, bleeding, starved and limping by what I can only assume to be fighters.
All I can assume as from the scarring and raw spots on his ankles is that they used him as bait. How he made it to my porch is beyond me but he's the sweetest thing. I have his cuts all cleaned up, his limp seems to be from broken toenails so I have him resting. I spoke to my vet about feeding him carefully every two hours,
My question is has anyone else taken in a dog like this? I have my blue nose and I'm concerned this dog might have some anxiety about meeting another dog. He seems docile enough though.
Anyone have any groups that may help with a vet bill also? I wish I had the money but after asking around, unless I take responsibility, he'll be out down.

Mypitbullisfamily.com might be able to get your info out there to help with money. I like them on Facebook, and they do that kind of thing every once in a while.

Just an update on my bait dog, "Leo"
http://m.facebook.com/home.php?refsr...tream&__user=0
THANK YOU KYLE + FAMILY FOR BEING LOVE ON EARTH. ♥
"On Christmas Day I came home to see this giant of a dog on my porch, black face, hyena pattern of a body, the size of a small horse. My natural reaction was to run, yell at my wife that I'm going to be eaten, the usual...
When I got inside my wife and I went to see him through the window, he didnt move, as if guarding our house, what we saw when we opened the door brought tears to my wife's eyes and still turns my stomach today. It was a bloody, beaten, starved bait dog that by some miracle made it to my house. His legs were swollen as if broken, and his body has more scars than hair it seemed. He was not moving and when we brought him inside we found he could hardly use any of his legs....after many appointments and vaccinations and checks, Leo is home with us. His name was given by a volunteer who took his life or death X-ray to determine if he had broken legs in fatal areas. He said Leo is the strongest, bravest dog he has ever met. I couldn't agree more.
Leo is easily a 100+ lbs dog(pitbull mastiff mix) who barely weighs 42 lbs. He has put on 10 lbs since Christmas and with my care, will be back to health in no time. "
WHAT MORE CAN WE SAY? THIS FAMILY IS LOVE. ♥

Heart wrenching to say the least. You're a great person.
edit:
My mom all but agreed to let me foster a dog from the shelter. I'm really excited to have a playmate for Luna and to help out a dog in need. Probably going to visit the shelter this week and see what's what.

hey fellas. I've had my pit mix for about for almost two years now. Got her as a 7week old pupparoo. She is amazing and I love her to death. When she was 1yr old I left for new mexico and left her with the parents. Now i'm back and things are good but she is SO over protective of me.
For example I was petting a huge st.bernard dog at the dog park and my pup sat inbetween my legs making this dolphin sound (she has this rediculous dolphin sound she makes its like a whine/yawn). And next thing I know she attacks this poor gentle giant. Also anybody including kids when i'm with her and they try to come up to her she grows and tries to bite at them. I'm like wtf!
She is super sweet to me and my family and our two cats and other dog(mini blue heeler). I never hit her or anything and i'm not sure what to do aside from put a muzzle on her when were outside my yard. She gets along fine for the most part at the dog park, she just plays with my other dog and ignores everyone else.

My pitty is almost the opposite. We could have a burglar with a gun come into the house and she would probably just lick them (kind of an exaggeration, she would probably sense our fear).
But when it comes to me, she bites me all the time. It's more of a playful thing, but she has got a hold of my hand a few times. I'm really not sure how to get her to stop, because no matter what I try, she just sees it as playing.
Shes still under a year old. Is that just a puppy thing?

My dog used to do that when she was a puppy. Her puppies did too. She still does it if I push her head in a playful way, or egg her on while we're outside, but it's really easy to get her to stop.
