are we looking at the G4 bolt on the G5?
or is it a totally new configuration in the firing chamber?

The DP website says the G5 operates at 200 PSI, same as the G4.

i would think so too since there isn't much change on the bolt itself and the size of the volume chamber.
i hope that they will come up with the threshold type milling with the same set up of G5 marker and get with APE again to do their board. i also prefer the bolt tip oring.

If this had the g3 bolt system and shot as well as my techt'd g3 then i would definitely buy one.

a techt'd G3 is hard to beat really. since this is similar to the G4 system, i doubt that it will shot as close to smoothness of an UP'd G3. though someone posted that this new bolt system is quieter.

Do you have a G4 bolt to compare to the G5 bolt? i would like to know what they did to back cap also like if they lengthened it or not

Oh ok. Sorry for that then I want to pick one up. I did not like the G4 for some reason, but this one just looks so right. They stepped up the $300 market with this. Nice to see some lower end guns to get people in the game without breaking the bank.

I was thinking the same thing! Those damn DP engineers stealing this dump valve engine design from the poppet valve etek. What were they thinking?!

It is actually the body style and this forums willingness to help that brought me to buying DP markers. I love the way they look...for the most part. Did not like the E1 or G4. My first electronic marker is the G3 I still have and am not letting go. It shoots butter. BUTTER I TELL YOU!

.. looks nothing like an etek, if anything its like a geo but DP had the dump bolt first sooo that means the geo looks like a g4/g5/g3 and operates very similar.
