Baymont Inn is a few miles from the field and they have offered a great rate of $60 plus tax. The hotel is one of the newest built in the area so call and mention you're with CRU to get the rate discount. (810)732-2300

What division will the psp team be?
What can players expect from the team/sponsors as far as financial support?

We will have multiple divisions from D4 to D1 for PSP. Details of sponsorships will be discussed with players that make each squad. Sponsor details can not be discussed publicly or with non team members.

In other words-
None of the "What will you give me if I tryout/make the team."
Show up, try out, and see what you EARN in the end. It might be the door shown to you, or it might me a welcoming handshake to the....Cru.

You shouldn't walk into a tryout asking what they can do for you, but what you can do for the team.

If you make a pro team you can normally expect it to be a full ride or very close. Other than that and d1 expect a good deal on paint for practice and tournaments and maybe a cheap gear deal. Other than that your paying.
Pretty simple.

Great to see Cru getting into NPPL as well. Boy it would be great to possibly see a West (TCP Machine) vs. East (Cru) at an NPPL event.

So a couple things:
1) I'm assuming that it's unlimited paint for the $90, because you didn't specify.
2) Have you guys even been approved by the NPPL to have a pro spot? That's still a thing.

Paint will be pooled together for all participants. Essentially 1.5-2 cases per player will be set aside and put into pods for each player to grab from when they come off the field.
As far as approved what do you mean? Just kidding, yes Paul received the confirmation prior to us posting everything.

Paul stated that Saturday is the focus, there may be some drills and discussion Sunday morning before a lot of the Ohio and New York guys head home so players can come back Sunday morning if able to speak with Paul and the coach Nick.

My reason for asking wasn't "what will you give me", it was because I'm interested in finding a divisional psp team, not pro nppl so what I have to ask myself is "even if I'm good enought to make it, can I afford to play for the team?"

I understand, however we cannot discuss details of sponsorship with non-team members, that's standard for almost all sponsor deals as they include NDA's.
However, I can say that if you want to play a full national season of divisional PSP, expect to be practicing most weekends, and make 4-5 national trips. Although there are sponsors that will be helping, the good rule of thumb is... if you can't afford to play without ANY sponsorship then you probably shouldn't sign up to play at all as although there is sponsorship and it will help, there is always something that will get in the way be it a car accident, problem at home, extra days you want to put in before tournaments, travel scrimmages, etc. So if you're thinking... I can't afford it 'unless' I get help, the probably answer is that you can't afford it. Sucks, but it's the way of paintball yet.
It is correct that D1 gets better deals and pro teams get the best deals but there are MANY pro teams who still pay a good chunk of what it costs to play at the national level. Before the economy issues pros (and divisional teams) got it better, but it's tougher out there.
That being said, I hope to see some good people and some good tryouts. Come ready to play, have a good time, and see if you are a fit for any of the squads, D4 - pro, and CRU fits what you're looking for in a team/program. It's a two way street.
