Star frame?
I have a 06 ego.
Would a anno matching star Frame really add any value to the marker? If so how much?
Thanks I am new to ego's.
And while we are at it what is so special about the Star frame other than bigger trigger guard and bottle opener?

oh goodness, gota think back to when i had my 05...the star frame should completely change the feel of the grip frame on your ego6. when you hold it now it probly feels pretty bulky? the star frame is a lot thinner, therefore my opinion is it will make your gun feel 10x better. the trigger is different, i believe there is more ways to adjust it including a spring vs. the stock magnet.
At this point being almost 2013 and the ego6 being 7 years old, I don't believe it will really add any substantial value to your gun however, it will make it more desirable to anyone looking to buy an older ego. The star frame was the first thing i put on my ego5 back in the day and dont regret it a bit.

My 06 Dark came with one and I love it, it's thin, has a button pad versus the metal buttons on the 05 frame, opens beers, and has an integrated dovetail Asa rail.

Ha I actually remember first seeing the 06 Dark a magazine, it was an add for it and thinking that was the coolest thing ever! No other gun can open beers! I was set on getting one after that and was disappointed when I saw they were 1795 new.. So I kept my gun and in January of 08 I bought one used for less then a third of that price, and never looked back. I still have it today and I will continue to use it until I can't get parts for it, then it's going on the wall haha.

Ya pretty much, I mean they do still have value, but probably not enough to warrant the return.
