Air leaks or bad gun performance...
Hi
I own a G4. I use it with a dye throttle 68/4500 at 4100 avg and its shooting performance is
1# game: 1 rotor + 2 pods
2# game: 1 rotor + 2 pods
3# game: watching from outside
A friend of mine shoots 2 pods more with same tank and a proto rail 2012
I don't hear/notice any air leak in my gun. I usually set it at semi coz most of the times we play rec. Is there anything I could do (before selling it) to improve my G4's performance, without investing in a bolt or some spare part I woudln't be able to get here in my country?
Thanks a lot in advance,

So around 950 shots per fill.
The things I would do..
1. Play with the dwell settings
2. Make sure you have a good paint to barrel match each time you play.
3. Check for leaks.
4. Invest in the techt bolt system that you dont want to invest in.
5. If where you play doesnt have a fill station, invest in a second tank.

please provide settings. also if you have a barrel kit try to under bore or over boar only by .002. check front breech orings.
dwell should be at 12 and your HPR should be somewhere 190-210 psi shooting 285 FPS. this depends on where you at so it might be a little different since you're in a different country.
you should be getting 7-10 pods with a full 68/4500 tank with an ape board.
thanks you chuck for providing this video for us as a good reference for efficiency and he got 9.5 pods. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqpfO...eature=related
make sure that you're not shooting hot as well.

Don't have a barrel kit and I've put it in factory defaults, and since then I've been playing with it at semi in some recball games. Hadn't the opportunity to play with inflatables yet

What does a used tank cost in your country? I'm not saying to sell the current tank or that something is wrong with it, I'm saying to take two tanks with you to the field, use one tank for the first two games and use the second for the last one or two. Here, a used tank runs from $50-$100. That is a quick and easy solution to the problem without getting rid of a marker you may like. You can always go back and replace all the orings and relube the marker with appropriate lube to see if that changes anything for you on the cheap.
Does your field not fill air tanks? It seems hard to believe that the players are using G4's and PMR's as well as rotors and HPA tanks yet the field doesn't fill air. Here, most places have all day air fills so you get your tank filled between games. As long as your tank lasts more than the length of one game, you can get it filled before the next typically.

Yes, its incredible.
I live at 1200km from Buenos Aires, Argentina
There's only one 4500psi compressor in this city, and it is not located in a paintball field but owner's home.
I guess we'll have to buy a nitrogen tank and fill station and try to survive with it. Would be ok for 4 players to get a 4m nitrogen tank? even if we have to fill at 2000avg
PS: An used 68/4500 hpa tank costs around u$s 155 and u$s 220. I know, I could get 2 new tanks with that price in USA but well, that's we have

Get a spray bottle with some soapy water and spray all the air fittings and regulator on the gun and your tank while they're full. If you see bubbles you have a leak.
Change the oring on the tip of your bolt guide to a snugger fit. Run your dwell lower if you can. You're in a warm part of the world so you should be able to run it lower.
