Anyone else watch the Doomsdsy Preppers show? Thoughts?
I think some of this stuff is a little overboard.

Some of it is overboard. However, if SHTF they will be the ones calling everyone else idiots. I'd say it's a safe bet something will happen within our lifetime that may alter the way we live for a while, and why not be prepared for it?

I wasn't aware of the specific episode he was addressing. Some of the ones I've seen were out on large tracts of land, away from people. Or in an old missile silo with several feet of metal concrete and 100 plus feet of earth. So, they should be fine. My first step should something like that happen would be to gtfo outta of anywhere urban. Luckily for me, I'm within miles of vast areas of national forests and ****.

i have a few guns. as for now thats all i really need. these people on this show have the dumbest reasons to think the world is going to end. like that family who thought that F5 twisters were going to knock out the US. and the other family who thought the US was going to split in half. just get a gun and get into the woods.

Agreed Patton. I'm in rural east Texas. Dfw is about an hour away from the suburbs of Dallas though.
My prepping is guns/ammo which I'm low on.

the Russians were planing to throw a nuke above the US and prematurely detonate it. creating a massive EMP that would wipe out all of are communications and so on. an EMP which was man made or from a solar flayer would **** over any 1st world country. best bet is to get some condoms and beer and sweat it out.

I live close to miles of forest that you could disappear into and never be found again. I have my gun, ammo and plenty of friends that have the same. We have already talked about where to meet if **** ever went down.
I just dont understand why you would want to live the rest of your life in a silo, a hundred feet below ground? **** that, I will die.

Its never a bad idea to have a stockpile of food and a couple reliable guns but its crazy to have an armory. I don't imagine you would be going rambo in a shtf scenario.
