MAC 43 Solenoid modification
Anybody know how to modify the Mac 43 (or other solenoids) to work in a shocker SFT? My Shocker's noid recent died and I'm looking for alternatives to throw on my shocker to get her up and running again... Not ready to pay 115 for the noid w/board.
Any other advisable action is greatly appreciated.

I think you would need to tap the air holes for barbs and use hoses. Idk if if you modify the noid itself. Pming you.

not really a good option. it won't bolt up to the manifold, you'll have to run a different board since you'll loose your upper board. that of course means you'll need to use different eyes and power switch. It also has a fairly low pressure rating for a shocker.
how exactly did yours fail? it may just need a good cleaning

I'm not quite sure how it failed. I got it used and did not usee it for at least a year and a half after. The first time I aired it up I was getting a leak out of the bottom of my trigger frame, however the marker still fired, fully cycled so on..
I sent it in to the local shop around here and they gave it to the guy who works on paintball guns for them. The report I received from the guy was he got it to stop leaking, but it would leak if the shocker was fired faster than one slow trigger pull at a time. If pulled slowly it would not leak. I think it is something that could probably be serviced, however I didn't have enough replies the last time I made a thread to give me hope. I had a brand new Ego so I left my shocker to collect dust while I played with that. Ego is gone now and I want my shocker to work... however I'd like to do that with as little cash as possible put into it.

I don't know. I took it apart and put it back together wrong and when I fire it I don't hear the solenoid click. My lower board needs repair too the battery connector isn't working right so I'll have to send that in to virtue and get it back before I can do some further testing. I think it'd be better for me to send the noid out to someone and have them check it out.
As far as I know it should operate as it did with the guy who teched it

myself and several other people here can probably repair and tech the marker for much less than the price of a new noid
