Even though this is a necro thread, it's a topic always worth discussion.
I am inclined to agree that Automags are as "high-end" as it gets (higher quality and craftsmanship than even Dye, Planet Eclipse, and the like). Having said that, and having owned both an RT ULE Pneumag and several mech 'Cockers -- I say it's a tossup. The Mag I owned was a higher quality instrument, had an even better trigger pull than a fine Cocker, and had a pneumatic anti-chop feature, but I never quite achieved the level of consistency I've gotten with my Cockers. I mean my cockers, when underboring, get +/- 1 or 2 fps over the chrono. That in itself makes them nail-drivers. And mech Cockers have this "personality" in their shooting feel that makes them a real pleasure to use.
