I own an 07 ego --- I've never replaced an o-ring in it (or anything else for that matter, less a couple macro line fittings, but i dont consider that the gun) and i rarely oil it and it still shoots just like day 1, hell better.

Now I do check it to see if things need cleaning or replacing or lubing a heck of a lot more often, but the thing rarely needs more than a check and a wipe down before it hits the gear bag.

But then again I have had the same experience with many high end guns....I have a '98 angel I have never had to replace a single thing on for instance

I should add for this kind of $$$$ thats what you SHOULD get and PE certainly delivers that

Wow because I have an opinion other than yours I am trolling. Why exactly am I a Bob Long fanboy? Because I own a Vice? New flash. I own an 06 Ego fantastic marker, and until recently A Geo 2.0 another fanastic marker. Why did I trade the Geo? Because my fields are only 3000 air and I got tired of filling up every game.

Apparently you didn't like the word "trinkets". I will apologize ONLY for that word and nothing else. To clarify I meant the additional barrel backs, other trigger, badging (both on the marker and PBnation), and such is what I meant as "trinkets". I didn't even say that the limited edition markers aren't worth the money because for many they are. I simply stated that if a person wanted a new/ different EGO than the standard EGO 11 they would have two options. Wait or buy the limited editions models.

I you bothered to read the other pages in the thread.... I stated I wanted the newest Ego but basically am waiting until the next model is released because of the indisputable devaluation of the last model after the newer one is released.

Hopefully no one thinks I am flaming, but I do have an opinion and simply because I own other companies markers as well as Planet Eclipse doesn't make me a hater of PE nor does it make me another companies fanboy BL.

Has anybody heard rumors of a January release for a new gun. Don't remember from where, but I seem to remember seeing or reading that somewhere. ANS dropped the price on the 11 as well so they might be trying to make way for a new gun, maybe, possibly, hopefully.

Or they could just be dropping the price to keep sales competitive. Figure the Ego11 came out Fall 2010. To stay competitive in a market where new markers are being released I imagine they would have to drop the price tag.
