Making the move from Rotor to Spire

I've yet to have an issue with my rotor but the team might be getting spires next year and ive done nothing but call them goofy looking speedboats since they came out lol. Which means that i havent even considered getting one until now and i know nothing about them.

Anybody (which im sure a ton of people have) go from the rotor to the spire? If so, was it a good move or do you regret not getting it sooner?

All the rotors I have ever owned jammed up on a fairly regular basis which always got on my nerves.
I now have a spire and have yet to experience any jams even when uses absolute garbage for paint.
I dont regret getting a Spire one bit. I definitely dont miss my rotors

I've only had issues with my rotor twice. First was right after I got it, and I had the feedneck clamped down too tight. Second was shooting the garbage paint from Tippmann World challenge this year.

Ok but you cant really count having your clamp too tight and crappy paint as the rotors fault can you?

Ive had the crappy paint "issue" before but thats like saying i put a bunch of broken balls in my hopper and then my stupid gun started chopping balls.

That was my point...not a bad thing to say about my rotor...only problems were on my end.

I have to say go with the spire. I bought one, then sold my rotor and got another spire. It has a smaller profile then the rotor. I've seen rotor become blenders with fragile paint, and jam like crazy. I haven't heard of a issue like that with the spire yet.

I dont regret getting rid of my rotor. I have zero jams with the spire, its lighter, smaller profile, and you dont get that loud noise when its empty. Its so quiet. A few of the teams in the UK are switching to them and I havent heard of any issues at all.

I use mine for woodsball and it does me fine. The intial issues with the speed feed have been sorted out with a redesigned one.

I think the rotor has finally met its match.

their so much lighter, and they actually hold 200 paintballs instead of like 180

This is why I added a SEED kit(out of production) to my v3 rotor, and the virtue soft cycle. It is amazing, no jams! Although if you consider the cost... it better not have any.

Anyways I plan on buying a Spire sometime around christmas, it might not be the prettiest, but it has the same quick tear-down ability of the rotor...if not better. Its feeding system is easier on paint, and seems to basically never jam. I'm hoping they make a high cap shell for the spire, like they did for the rotor.

So go for a black one to try and hide the look of it if you hate it that much, but it really seems like the best loader out there right now.
