Now you're just bragging
What was the main body of that marker? Is it all DIY?

I made an actual pellet firing shotgun. I have both a RAP4 Shotgun and a RAP4 M4 METS, neither worked like a shotgun though. Ended up making a shell that holds 8 .43 caliber paintballs(that's what my M4 METS fires so I have them available). Shooting it out of a modified Spyder. Best FPS I can get is about 230, but I get around a 6 foot spread at 10 yards. I never use it, kind of cheating when you're on the field, but its neat. The RAP4 Shotgun is basically just a .68 caliber pump that looks like a shotgun. I could probably modify my design a little and actually use the shells in it for a little more realism.

I was thinking about putting two Spyder markers together to have dual Hoppers feed so it shoot 2 paintballs at once. Problem is getting the air tank to feed into two markers.
Then I could shoot a normal 290 fps with two balls at a time at a 5 to 8 bps covering a 4" to 6"diameter with just a couple of stock markers that were combined together. Custom shells would be hard to make and reuse.
I like this idea, but I'll stick to my mini in normal play.

So I could take 2 Spyder Sonix and put the "guts" in a Shotgun shell wooden frame and build a marker this way? Perhaps seperating the piston chamber and attaching it to the wooden frame side by side with the two triggers droping down into the wooden frame.
This thread is great for ideas on how to building a custom marker.

Here is one on here that I was looking at as a option for using wooden frame...

Anyone else use wood successfully as a frame for a marker?

Looks like someone finally came up with a workable
tactical shotgun. Would probably be something that
members of the LE community would be able to use,
either for training or for dispensing Less Lethal type
rounds for crowd control. Wonder if it'd be possible
to chamber 'First Strike' type rounds as well?

Yeah, that is the DSG. I already posted mine on the first page...
It is a great gun. Lots of fun. It will accept most Mossberg stocks.
NO it will not accept First Strike rounds. Unless you want to muzzle load them one at a time down the barrel. The breach is not compatable for them and the spring feed in the lower tube will not feed them.
Also keep in mind the DSG will run you just shy of $800...

Thanks for the heads up. Watched the demo video
and it's clear there was a lot of time and care that
went into this. Sorry to see he might not be looking
to build more. As for the price, it sounds fair, given
the amount of custom work that goes into it. If he
was making these in China the cost would be less
than half what he gets now. Perhaps he ought to
see about selling the concept to Gino or one of the
others out there? That's what happend to Forest
Hatcher (Gun F/X) after he developed what went
on to become the FN 303 for the Army.
Sincerely,

haha, nope.
He is a hobbist Machineist. He is currently building the 5th run of these right now and as far as I know, he has no plans to stop as long as people keep paying for them.
I doubt very much he is interested in selling his designs to anyone. And even if he was, it is not likely that this will get picked up by a big producer due to the limited aplications that these guns provide.
The gun is not the easiest to use, fun, but not easy.
RAP 4 already has a cheap(er) shotgun on the market. It is the result of cheaper manufacturing...It doesn't sell well.
As for selling to the military for training...maybe. But shotguns are not extensively used by the military compared to rifles...and paintball and military training are not the best match anyway.

What I'm looking to do is make a old marker into a MilSim frame that can use two small hoppers to feed a marker that can shoot more than one round at a time.
I'm thinking that it's easier to make a dual firing marker, non exist that I know, that cover more of an area with a auto cocker option. I'm sure if I went electric that I could make this easier but I have the option of using 2 Spyder Sonixs.
I can get a larger piece of wood and mill it to hold the ASA below the barrels and piston chambers that the marker uses. I just need to take apart the backup marker and get the other one to see how much rework and relocation of important parts to see if I can make it happen.

Simular to the Parmers Nasty Hurricane. However I'd like to put the tank in the end of the stock instead of below.
I'm tking my Spyder apart to see if I can tuck in the parts in a wooden frame this weekend.
