Weird, because I'm almost positive I've seen 2k5'd timmies with alias frames and dualies  .

It can be done but usually it requires a dremel job on the front of the gripframe to eliminate the point where the frame comes in contact with the barb on the dual block. I've bought a few gripframes over the years (sadly I don't have any at this point) that have been dremeled out to enable this.
I'd usually recommend that you have the body tapped for an Alias Block by BLAST. The Alias block is superior to what you'd get with a 2K2 or Dual reg block anyways. It volumizes a significant amount of air and the grub screw holds better than the 2K2 style screws that have a tendency to back out and lead to loosened blocks.
From there, just get a new noid, wiring harnesses and a 2K5 board and you'll be set.
