the reason he is linking an msv2 to a pavo is because if you simply link the trigger to a straight 3 way like a smav3 then you will be short stroking left and right
by using a piloted 3 way like the pavo you are using the air pressure to actuate the 3 way for you, combine that with a couple qev's so the gas at the bolt face and the pilot air can leave that much faster after the cycle completes and you have a 3 way that actuates almost instantaeously once you pass the msv2's activation threshold, this setup is significantly harder to short stroke

The short stoking isnt as bad as you'd think, but I used to shoot mech cockers....
The pavo3 flow rate puts the stock noid to shame too

Ya i got it from deathwish. Great guy to work with. The closed bolt ion kit he and y0da sell is great too! As far as the retro fitting goes it can be advantagous, last tourny i was in i used the original gun and i could run uncapped semi because it was psp rules. I had my gun checked more than once...

I was wondering about tourney use with converted mechs,must have been very satifying to get checked so many times  ,knew i had seen that Ion set somewhere before,glad you bought it,saved me from spending more $ than I have.Deathwish and yoda are standup guys,theyve helped me on a ton of my Ion projects
