It really just comes down to the player and what appeals to them.
Airsoft
Pros:
Cheaper
Can be more realistic
Not as much upkeep on the gun
Etc.
Cons:
Easier to cheat
Not as fun(opinion)
Not as organized

This.

I really did enjoy paintball more. But I get to obsess with guns and upgrades, and still get to shoot people on my budget. Working class is tough, but I still get my fix.

While I still do like airsoft, I've found that paintball is just more "accessible," to me, any of my family that wants to play, and others I've met.

And, from what I've seen, you don't have the military-wanna-be types in p-ball (could be wrong about this though due to limited exposure to the sport so far) who just drive me nuts as I've been in the Reserves since '96 and frankly don't want any more "military," than what I do / have done already.

This all points to one saying

Opinions are like armpits everyone has them and most of them stink

Airsoft vs Paintball?
Who cares as long as you are having a good time stick to whatever you're playing

I play both airsoft and paintball. I like paintball better because alot harder to cheat to me it a little bit of a challenge and to me airsoft I would just go play in my back yard.

There is much more messing around with airsoft guns. Nobody wants paint flying around their house, yard, or neighbor's property. With airsoft, a stray shot here and there won't have any consequences. If it were paintballs even one stray shot could wind up on something and get people very angry. Nobody notices little airspft pellets

Also, paintball guns are loud. I don't care what kind of gun you have, they just won't be as quiet as a good airsoft gun. I have played both paintball and airspdt for about 7 years now, and I have very rarely been able to use a paintball gun in my yard.

I used to play airsoft alot but moved on to paintball as we didnt really have a real field we would play on, cops got called, and we all got escorted home lol. Sucks, had a pretty nice multi shot shotgun but im enjoying paintball a little more now.

Just stick to your sport (Whether it be PB or Airsoft) and let the people decide what they want to play. No need to bash on a sport you dont play.

What about this for a field option??

.68 cal paintball for teens and adults with .50cal for 8-12yr olds

vs

.68 cal paintball for teens and adults with Airsoft for 8 yr olds +

I was going to go .50cal for less pain but airsoft is less pain and cleaner than .50cal

Opinions???

"pain" as you would call it but just a sting is just part of the sport. If people don't like it or cry about it, leave the sport and find a different hobby.

Airball>Woodsball & Airsoft.

I don't play Airsoft nor do I play woodsball. I have 2 years of Airsoft experince from the past but after seeing people get blasted by a whole enite magazine and just stare at you, I decided Divisional Paintball was where I needed to be.

airsoft= cheaters can cheat all day long. If you are try to cheat in paintball, you will prob get away with it for a game or two, but its only matter of time till the players adapts and just sticks their barrel and inch or two away from your neck and just blast away your head. (neck, head, and then just gog your mask). "get your *** on the ground cuz chirs lasoya says so"
