Honestly though, the Proflexes are one of the largest masks available. The bottoms of them extend below my chin. It's not like I have my entire lower face exposed when I flip it up. When I do decide to wear it up, I have about as much coverage on my face as if I were wearing i4's. Just my chin is exposed. None of my lip is. It hurts less getting shot in the chin than it does getting shot in the neck. No big deal.
Granted I am about half the size of this guy but the mask does not fit me all that differently. Only his chin is exposed.

If you are seriously bending it up to breathe better than you need to quit playing. The design of the ProFlex and now EFlex have the best ventilation of any mask. Period. The whole point of flipping it up is to be agg or for style points both of which are stupid and useless and albeit a little bit dangerous, especially if done while on the field.

People in here are just pissed because they don't have a flex to fold up.

It was popular back in the day to flip the flex up, till too many people got hurt getting shot in the mouth or once in his mouth into his throat.

I solved this problem.
The answer was Dye V4 with a bandana for a throat protector.

There's a noticeable difference though. Although it's probably just the hot air not blowing back in your face instead of better ventalation.
Play a heavy point and then fold them up as you walk off. Even if it really doesnt make much of a difference in actuality, it does feel more relaxing and easier to breathe.

I personally play with my flex mask like this. For me it is easier to have while I am playing tight into my bunker so my tank doesn't move my mask around while I am snap shooting in the heat of the moment.

Back in the day before official rules, a lot of pros and amateurs played without a mask at all. Just goggles, or using a mask but heavily cut up to almost nothing. I had a buddy who played without a mask. He used to look like a bar room brawler after every practice. Of course he was naturally ugly anyway so it didn't matter lol.
I never did it because I don't need to earn my man card being stupid. Shortly after NPPL came out with the first rules requiring full unmodified face protection. It didn't really shock me because of the damage people were taking. Insurance companies got the last laugh. A lot of people were angry because they suddenly had to buy new masks AT the event but in the end I think it was the proper decision.

Most people play with it up because it hits their tank

I fold it up after games or when I need a smoke, but I normally play with it down.
However, the i4s are a lot smaller than the proflex even with the bottom folded up

Why would they design a mask that can be folded up if they didn't expect it to be folded up?
