What Do You Do With Your Pods?

When I am playing I always throw my pods out of the way... Just so that I do not step on them and so next game I or someone else does not slide on them...

I see people(Mostly tournaments) that drop their pods in front of their feet so they do not get hit...

What do you do with your pods?

also while I am here what type of pods do you use?

I use a pinokio and dont shoot tons of paint so i never really reload but when i do i just put the pod back in the pack. I use whatever pods are the cheapest to buy/any pods that i can salvage from previous games on that field. and no im not a pod thief. I have found a few lock lids before but those were taken from my table before the end of the month

But I work at a field and after tournaments and after some days I will find pods. If they do not claim it then its mine lol...

I prefer the empire pods myself.

Depends on the format. Smaller fields it's no big deal to chuck them to a sideline (or just to mess with peoples heads, fling them as far forward as you can, occasionally yelling "Grenade!").

On a large woods field, well I'm not going to be anywhere near that same spot at the end of the game. It's pull pod, fill hopper, and stick that pod right back in the pack. I have a different pack that I prefer to use for large woodsball games for that reason. A bit less comfortable, but a lot easier to stick the pods back in.

As for tournaments, a bunch of years back there was a ruling that any hits on your gear counted, even if it was a dropped pod. This ruling was changed later (rules now specifically deal with dropped pods), but it only has to be true briefly to get some people to make sure those pods are in a safe location when dropped. Others of course probably got tired of having to clean them off after every game.

Ive seen someone do this. He was in the first snake and the other guy was at his mirror. he threw the pod and hit the guy and while he was trying to figure out what happened the other guy ran up and bunkered him.

i almost always put the pod back in my pack. That way no way steals it or breaks it by accident or something. The only time i ever leave them to the side is if i am snap shooting with someone and dont want to take the time to put it back in the pack and risk getting shot, or if im playing at my own field, then i just throw them to the side because no one will steal them then.

It was just some open play I don't think the refs really cared. They probably got a good chuckle out of it

I mean I see that as an ejection from game as that's...assault? It's kinda like laying your hands on someone.

if it's speedball, small course, I'll just drop them, but in the woods I'll always pop them back into my pack. those thing might just dissappear, especially if it's a big course. Not thinking someone will steal them, but i'll totally forget where they are.

I have this problem too... but i need a better pack so i can put them back in. I hate it how i can never find my pods... very rarely are they stolen but they get lost..

It sucks trying to find them...

What type of pods do you use?

I put stickers on all my pods so I know which pods are mine either way. I will usually just drop them at my feet and then go pick them up after the game. If there is another game immediately after, I will drop those pods off to the side off the field and pick them up afterwards.

In speedball I toss them to the sideline.

In woods games I either jam them back into my pack or I use a dump pouch style thing that hangs off the back of my belt.

I have a mix of pods.
I have
Angel Fatboys
Proto
And random no name ones.
I have never had a pod stolen because I spray paint all of them bright red tiger stripes. Everybody knows they are mine.

If I'm not in the middle of a battle with someone I'll take the extra second to put it back in my pack. A lot of thieves at my local field though.

In tournaments I generally just drop them after reloading and pick them up later. In Rec ball I usually put them back in my pack since I do not want people taking them if I leave them on the ground. In scenarios I take them with me because if I don't there is a good chance I will loose them in the wilderness.
