For those who have shot a TM7 and an X7 Phenom, which would you say is louder? Or what other gun would a TM7 compare to sound wise? I know the barrel makes a difference but I just want a general idea.

Strictly speaking I would say that the TM-7 is lower pressure and therefore would be quieter than the Phenom. However, barrel porting is really what will make the difference between the two.

X7's are pretty loud, and sounds funny imo

TM7 is mad quiet. Never shot a Phenom (which isn't a blowback) but Tippmanns are usually... loud.

i shot both in stock. tm7 is quiet between the both of them. only reason i prefer the phenom is do to changing looks beside that i like the tm7 better.

i didnt think the TM-7 was that quiet becuase i was shooting out a kitchen window (into a field). it echoed alot so it made it sound very loud.

When we finally got to the field i let my gf use the TM-7 and took the rental 98, that thing is actually satisfyingly loud. I like the metallic clink when you fire, sounds like a world war 2 game lol

I've had both and the tm7 is by FAR loudest.

Remember that the sound of the marker is different if you're in front of it instead of behind it.

^^^^ This, if you were to put the same barrel on a phenom and on the tm-7, by far the tm-7 is way quieter.

TM7 is quieter in my experience with both.
