PSP Fields around Charleston?

I am getting stationed in charleston,sc for the next three months. Im looking for a field and/or team to practice with while im down south. I am from NY and play psp division 2. Any help would be great. I am willing to drive but not any crazy distances (over 2-3 hours)

I am sure some good folks from Paintball Central would let you join in...Brian Hudson in Rock Hill or Sam Smith in Greenville will have some of what you are looking for. Kevin Shimwell from ABP in North Myrtle Beach will have another great place to visit...just pop around in some threads and see what you think. Have fun & happy hunting...Milkshake wouldn't do you wrong...

paintball charleston just picked up a new psp field.
setup might begin in december some time.
details havent been posted since they hosted a scenario last weekend.
keep checking their facebook page for info.

I hope you guys get it going...need an air ball field in Charleston...I saw some of the bunkers last weekend at the scenario...gonna be awesome. There are some great ballers there, have fun and I'll be checking up on the progress...

FINALLYYYYYYYY! I hope PBC can get an Airball crowd going... I need a local place to practice. I know GLK will be out there at least. There's a lot of speedball/airball talent floating around Charleston. Most people have to travel to rockhill or greenville to practice though. Hopefully this will change.

Yeah hopefully they get the field up because idk how much traveling I can do from the base. Would be nice to get some solid upper division players to practice with while I'm down there

Most of us here in Charleston are around D4 and D3, the occasional D2 mixed in here and there. On the other hand, for whatever reason, there seems to be a higher skill set here. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Paintball Charleston has more of a woods ball reputation at this time joe, they are hoping to have a solid speedball following in the future as well. They have a large group of talented speed ballers along with a very strong pump following. I am sure you will have plenty of folks to practice with once they get going.

I wonder how they are going to do speedball, when all they can fill is 3000.

...really? A 3000 fill will be fine, people are just going to be filling more frequently.

Riot- I hear that, I'm hoping they get the PSP field going sometime while I'm down there (December-March) or I'm going to be out of luck for paintball for three months.

Yeah I've been playing both PSP and NPPL for about 6 years. Actually NPPL Vegas a few weeks back we were only getting a 3300psi fill on our side of the pits, Seemed to pull through just fine. But nope, Guess I've never played speedball....

Guess you don't know much about Paintball Charleston then. Paintball Charleston only offers a 3000 fill during the weekends to take it easier on their compressor. They are very capable of doing a 4500 or 5000 fill without much of a problem. The question becomes whether they dial it up to that for speedball. Honestly though, I've played events getting only 2800-3500 plenty of times. a consistent 3000 will be fine if you shoot less than 8 pods a game.
