Mini with SLP

Is there problems with running 800psi regulators on the Mini?
My tanks reg just blew and its beyond repair so I was looking into a low pressure, but someone at my local shop said that the SLP would have huge dropoff with the Mini, even though it operates at low pressures. He said SLP is for bob longs and angels, but I thought that my Mini needed a low pressure?
Can someone clear this up for me?

Slp has worked fo me but a 400-550 output would be ideal.

Would you not get more shots with the SLP though?
I believe you completely, but could you please explain why?
This throws what I had believed out the window

As a rule of thumb ever since I have used HPA, take the guns Operating pressure and times it by 3 (example op = 150 psi x3 = 450psi) this should be the lowest preset pressure you put on your gun to avoid starving the reg.

Starving/choking is when the reg doesn't get enough pressure to recock the gun for your next shot. If your going Ninja, just get the normal adjustable reg and go from their.

If your gun is starving/choking the amount of shots you get will depend on how often it's actually shooting before the gun starts to choke.

Been using an Slp reg on a mini for over a year. Works fine.
