Hello everyone! Well it finally happened, snow in the Ufford Hills area. With the coming colder weather we will close regular hours soon, but we are NOT closing.

Ufford Hills Paintball will stay open for reservations and players are able to rent out equipment with HPA tanks. Currently, we have air fills up to 3000 and will be getting a system to support 4500 soon. The staff would like to organize a winter game at some point in November and would love to here opinions on the matter.

New event coming up this week.

Some of the younger players in the local area came up with the idea. If you wear a halloween costume the weekend after Halloween to the field, we will give 10% on field fees, rentals, ADA, and packages. The costume does not need to be mind blowing, anything for $5 at Walmart will do. Weather is looking good for the weekend, we will be open from 12pm-8pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

It is still warm outside! We have groups coming out this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Hope to see some new players around the area come out and play. Since we have a group coming out on Friday who does not mind playing other players, we will open the field up at 3pm.

Not sure how many field are still going in South Dakota and surrounding areas, but Ufford Hills plans to be open all Winter. Open play is still going on every weekend from 12pm until dark and reservations can still be made anytime. When the winter comes in full swing we will switch to reserve only hours.

Any tournaments planned for next year?

Currently, another intramural tournament for University of South Dakota is being planned and Ufford Hill’s staff has given serious thought into other tournaments. We have consulted tournament operators, professionals in the industry, and players on the concept of tournaments at Uffords.

Tournaments require money and dedication from the player base, both which we see growing at the field. Since it is our first year in operation we are not 100% comfortable with hosting major tournaments and will focus efforts on building our customer base and building new fields.

The plans right now are to build a football size Alamo style field east of the tire field and perform serious construction on the woodsball field in the ravine.

Being one to never say never; a tournament may be possible later next season, but players from the local area would need to show serious commitment and dedication to hosting a tournament. If our player and revenue numbers keep growing it may be a possibility.
