Guess not.
You guys kind of have similar attitude on here, are both military and both live in colorado springs. Just wondering.
But shaize, that sounds harsh. It may be because I'm so tired, but that sound less fun than it should be cut out to be. If that makes any sense.

Wow....watched act of valor. Wish I had friends like that. Armed services is the largest brotherhood. I have some family in the service and its amazing how long they are in and how long they are friends with these people they never knew until the very first day.

And I like zombies, but for some reason I completely suck at it. Even though I've finished all the campaigns on Veteran and I do pretty well in MP. Zombies is not something I've ever been able to get far in.

Love that flick.
If you have the dvd, watch all the interviews. Lots of perspective into who they really are.

Ill hunt it down. Because I made a number of mistakes as a kid I was refused entry into the armed services. This makes me bitter towards the rules even if you wanted to go overseas and fight , you could not back in the early 90s if your juvenile record was tarnished or even started for that matter.

****, brad
When the war really kicked off, the army had a waiver for everything! Their Max age was like 35 if I remember correctly. Trust me bro, it ain't like the movies. I'm sure the spec ops community, and some infantry platoons are tight, but that's ****ty work. There's a dark side to being in the military that alot of people never see or understand. Its the side that's filled with alcoholism, depression, constant anxiety, and suicide. I noticed the other day when I had to interact in a large group of civilians, that I loathe them. Catch 22 is I don't want to stay in.
I tell people now, if you do enlist don't go anywhere near a gun.

Treading on dangerous ground here probably.... But....
It seems the general makeup of society is much weaker now days plus the fact that social media will help to blow up any problem. It just appears to me that the majority of today's lower echelon military personnel do not have the grit of yesteryear's troops. Someone gets involved in a firefight and resorts to meds and counseling for the rest of their life.

Truth I have seen vets like this. Some get off shooting people or blowing stuff up. I used to manage vets at a hardware store when I was 19- a navy seal that was in his 60s told me the udt was a slip in strap on and slip out team....he knows he killed people just didn't stick around to count bodies. Some people nowadays have been so sensitized to human response and feelings that they make terrible service men. Desk jobs and cook staff. I've know a few marines that are hot to trot and drink alot to keep the feelings at bay. But if there were a call to arms they would lock and load first chance. I also know some guys that still work in military background jobs. A friend of mine works in sea coast nh at the nuclear facility. He loves his full auto and side arm practice runs. Genuinely enjoys carrying something that can put a man in half. He looked at a guy twice his size at a night club "pointed at his high and tight and said" you see this ****ing haircut , normal people don't get a haircut like this" lmfao

Typically the guy you want providing covering fire for sure.
I think the only thing (other than the aforementioned) that has changed for the worse (if it can be called that) is battlefield medicine.
You can now get both arms and legs blown off and still survive and live a *healthy* life. That is what makes it hard to live with yourself/others. Getting so tore up and living. Not dying like you might have wished for.

Yo which of you dude-bros knows your **** when it comes to computers?
I want either a tablet or laptop that can edit movies (gopro), mix music (something like garage band?) And Skype (for deployments).
Can a tablet do all that yet, or do I need a laptop to get all that done? I think the music mixing would be the toughest ram wise, but hardware wise an opacity isn't USB capable for the gopro. I don't know my *** from a hole in the ground when it comes to computers.
