Hey doodz, I recently acquired a GSIII. Coming from a Nexus S on stock 4.1, I found TouchWiz to be atrocious. So I thought CM10 would be a good idea. Never attempted anything of the sort before, and ran into a bitty problem:
Ran something via ODIN that wouldn't trip the counter
Installed Rom Manager (I'm a *****?)
Flashed ClockworkMod...I think
Dumped the CM10 .zip into my phone, and selected/installed it through Rom manager.
It looked like something began happening, and now it has been stuck on a CyanogenMod spinning "loader" sort of thing for around 10 minutes.
Where's my problem?
Edit: Rebooting the phone: Samsung GS3 splash appears, followed by the spinning CyanogenMod splash of death forever.

Does it boot to CWM at all? sounds like a bad flash to me. Did you make any backups?

are you on att or verizon gs3?
for verizon i know you have to root it by either odin an rooted stock rom (or use an easy root toolkit) then from there run the ez unlock bootloader app. then ez recovery. install cwm or twrp from there clear data/factory cache, davik cache format system then install rom
first boot will take awhile.

I think it was a bad flash--redid everything (from obtaining root via Odin) and it worked! Thanks guys.

I think its the ROM manager I would adb flash your recovery then flash the ROM from said recovery
Some devices don't play well with ROM manager
U could download ez recovery then use it to flash your recovery instead of having to adb but note the app is for Verizon gs3 so the included recoveries are for it u have to choose custom field then find the recovery file that u downloaded on your phone

Anyone here have an art micro cell in their house and have an issue with their phone connecting to the micro cell for data? My skyrocket will connect to it but I won't get any data coverage from it until I unauthorize my number from it so it doesn't connect with my device

Try this:

I've been playing around with the photosphere a bit more. It definitely does better with longer view distances, but it's not too shabby. Just snagged this:

AOKP and CM10 are pretty standard. Do you want the touchwiz or no?

So I've been out of the android loop for a while, came over from the darkside, and picked up an S3. What's the must haves/do with this thing.
Aside from rooting, I did all that with my droid/thunderbolt, I'd like to leave this stock as possible.
