HK Shredders vs Exalt TRX Cleats
Hey nation, so the time has come for me to get a new pair of cleats. I've outgrown my old ones, and I need need some new quality paintball cleats. I'm stuck between the HK Shredders and the Exalt TRX. I've heard good reviews for both but I just can't decide. The Exalt cleats are only $10 more but you seem to get more with them because you have the attachable and removable spikes. The Shredders are lighter and I've always been a fan of HK.
Please help me to decide!
Vote and post what you think
Thanks!

I voted for HK. They are just quality shoes with small studs on the bottom. Nothing to them and they work. I have a few friends with the Exalts and they have not held up well. The cleats are easy to break off and the shoes are not that comfortable. You can feel the spikes in the sole of the shoe. It can hurt.

I'm with Darko on this one; shredders like many other HK products, are just damn fine quality construction. Own a pair of them myself and Me being one who is hard on shoes, those things are darn robust lol!

I have the hk cleats and they are awesome. I play turf and dirt and they hold up very well on both. I love how light they are too and that they actually look like a real shoe. The only bad thing is if/when the cleat wears down your kinda screwed.
I havent tried the exalts but i imagine they have to be a nice set of cleats. Being able to change out the cleats is a huge bonus.

The thing is, the shredders are nice shoes. When the cleats wear down you have a nice pair of everyday shoes. Then you buy another pair to play in. Repeat.

You post only those two so I guess you aren't looking for other choices.
BUT, get soccer cleats.

Also a good choice. Some fields do not allow actual cleats though. They will allow the shredders.

Another vote for soccer cleats. Just curious what fields don't allow soccer cleats? Is it a a specific field you play at or a type of field like indoor? Just curious we have a pretty good variety of fields in the Houston area and haven't run across this yet. Maybe I have not been looking.

The main/premiere speedball field in Colorado (Blitz) does not allow them because it tears up the AstroTurf. Doesn't bother any of us though. We still love playing there.

Most people who say HK stuff sucks and rips apart are just haters and don't actually own any of it. I was looking at the Shredders and they're pretty nice for what they are. The back heal cleats are really what sells them to me. Helps a whole lot with stopping.

Most HK gear is good quality. There are some duds though.

I thought it might be an AstroTurf thing. An indoor field here has that on their floor. I guess before I play there I should double check their policy. THANKS

This
But I personally like the exalt cleats since am able to replace parts when they wear out. Since the base of the shoe is so rigged i expect it to last for a very long time
