Unless there are a stupid amount of incentives that make buying a more attractive option, I would lease whatever I get. CPO Z4 would be the only exception at this point. I also wonder what the lowest mileage lease is.

I could never lease a car. I don't think there's a car in the whole world that I would be remotely satisfied with completely stock.

Bull****. Besides you can still mod a leased car, you'll just have to put it back to stock at the end.

Some mods aren't easily reverseable.

If I wanted to go back to the stock CD player in my car right now, I would lose the two door speakers, and practically have to tape it into place because of the mods I had to do to my dash to get the double-DIN to fit.

As far as the "bull****" bit, the only cars I wouldn't want to throw a bunch of money into are cars that I would want to buy rather than rent.

They have a good residual so they lease well....obly have to keep it 39 months and than get rid of it. Never have a throwback ride.

So you pay for all your new cars cash?

Leasing sounds good if you're always going to have plenty of money but I can't get over the renting and getting nothing at the end.

Well when you have a loan on a car who holds the title? Is it safe to say until you buy the car outright you are renting it the same way? On a lease you can buy it out after 3 years and you will pay the same amount as buying it, leasing just gives an option of 3 years and walking away with no negative equity.

If you make payments on a car you've purchased, you actually get to keep the car. Very similar to an apartment, not considered a good investment.

You can buy it out at the end if you like it...see it as an extended test drive.

I'm just being an ***. For some people, leases are a great idea. Just not for me.

If I buy a new car, mod it, the dealership finds out, they kill my warranty.

If I lease a new car, mod it, and the dealership finds out, what do they do?
