If you want something straight out of the box that will shoot well, do work, and is feature packed at a good price, look at the Empire Sniper. It gives you a good solid platform with some awesome extras. You get a 4 piece barrel kit with 3 usable bore sizes and a stock class tube if you want to experiment with that as well.
Other options to look at would be to an autococker pump, which are upgradable and super customizable. Phantoms offer many different setups as well.
If you want a Cadillac of pump markers, there are CCM pumps and Bob Longs MVP which are just plain sweet but cost more money.

thanks! I've been looking at the CCM S6 and the SM1 and was wondering if the S6 was still in production.
P.S. doesnt the empire sniper barrel kit com with like a .689,.691,and .693?
I have also been considering the sniper.

The backs that come with the empire sniper are a .675, .680 and .685... It's actually a pretty sweet barrel but I wish it came with a .690 back

yes the s6 is still in production
just call mel from ccm, she can walk ya through all the ordering stuff
the used market is great too... if you have cash you can take your pick of most anything.
a pumped cocker is crazy simple to tune, set IVG 2-3 turns from flush, set reg to about 325psi, should get you just about ball parked fps wise
shameless plug for a coupld cockers in my sig

There are 3 current CCM markers in production still. The Series 6 (S6), the S6.5 (the midblocked version, hence the .5), and the T2, a modular tube design with double guide rods. CCMs are made to order. If you are interested in them give them a call at (530)378-3420 or email Mel melissa@chipleymachine.com.
The Sniper has 3 backs, 0.675, 0.680, and 0.685 with 8" control bores, like said above.
CCM markers and the Sniper have a limited lifetime warranty when purchased new as well.
I don't have much experience with the SM1, other than using a Sanchez Machine pump kit.

Gotta say go with a pumped autococker
Custom body
Any frame of your choosing
So many bolts to choose from
Lots of pump handles
I shoot a aim eagle autococker pump, a half block aim eagle, and a modified stock class phantom

The s6.5 and t2 are both half blocks and very similar but not the same. The T2 has to pump arms and has a different body design. I personally love half blocks and hate full blocks.
I dont like the full block because they are harder to work with and i hate the rear cocking because i always hit my mask. But thats just preferance.
You cannot go wrong with any of the above options. The CCMs are very great ( i shoot a s6.5) but the empire sniper really has it all and for the price its kind of a crazy deal!

a empire sniper is based off an autococker.
if you ever tear it apart or get it dirty, you'll have to learn how to tune/time/clean them.
its really not difficult.
set the IVG 2-3 turns from flush
set the reg between 300-350psi
if your off more than 30-40 fps, adjust reg
if your within 10-20 adjust ivg
cleaning is easy....
pulling the lowertube on a sniper is very easy (its the large valve, doesnt need a valve tool), just make sure you put it back in the same order it came out (i've had to tech countless that kids put in backwards)
little bit of oil, make sure the orings dont get cut comin in/out
wipe the hammer off, add a LIGHT oil to the hammer, go LIGHT, and your good
the auto trigger is adjusted by the height of the lug on the hammer, too far in/out will make it release way early or late
(i've teched a few pump cockers haha)

To say something about the sm-1 since no one else has:
I have one and i love it. If you're use to the feel of a ccm marker, you might not like it that much. The sm-1 has a shorter, 'snappier' feel to it as opposed to the smoother pump stroke of a ccm.
I haven't shot an empire sniper but i hear good things. If you shell out the money for a sniper or a ccm marker, i cant see you being disappointed.
