from what i can tell from watching war of the roses and playing chivalry
war of roses has:
directional swinging and blocking
horses
more information on the HUD
takes longer to kill people
chivalry:
directional swinging but automatic blocking
decapitation and dismemberment
more modes and maps
minimal/nonexistent HUD
usually takes 2-4 hits to kill someone
chivalry multiplayer is 10 times better than warband.
You actually die pretty quickly in War of the Roses. If someone hits you with a charged up swing and you don't block it, and don't have heavy armor or your visor down you'll die instantly. Chivalry's combat looks a little more intuitive. WOTR's combat is pretty tricky to get the hang of.
Man I can't wait for Star Citizen. I really hope they can do everything they want to do with that game. I think this is the first video game I've ever backed on Kickstarter.

Started playing Anachronox today, a game that I've wanted to get my hands on since I played the demo back in like 2001 or 2002. It is ****ing awesome. So many small details that you would never see in a modern game, but that's not to say the game doesn't have it's share of jank.

You can choose to run steam in offline mode you know.

I had that same problem. Check your firewall. If that doesn't work there's a file you can delete but I'll have to look it up.
Natural selection 2, just bought it found out my GPU can't run it other than...well hardly ever. So I'm gonna be buying a new card soon. Anyone else have it? I listened in on my buddies playing it. Sounds like a blast despite requiring some balancing.
